These are from the administrations of Olive Dame Campbell (1925 - 1946) and George Bidstrup (1952 - 1967) and from part of John Ramsay's administration (1967 - 1969) as directors of the John C. Campbell Folk School.
Files include correspondence, and studies and reports documenting School operations, courses offered by the School, and efforts of the School in community work. Also present are farm reports (1927 - 1946); receipt books (1932 - 1948) and tests timing output of woodcarvers (1945 - 1946) that document the crafts department; and minutes and reports from the Brasstown Savings and Loan Association (1949 - 1958), the Mountain Valley Creamery and the Mountain Valley Cooperative, Inc. (1928 - 1949), the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild (1960 - 1965), and the Council of the Southern Mountains (1953 - 1966).
