This is a typescript of the memoirs of Micah Taul (January, 1848- March, 1850). One of the interesting accounts described in his memoirs concerns the time he spent as a soldier in the Kentucky Volunteers during the War of 1812. He gives a vivid and personal account of personalities of commanding officers, events, and daily existence as the Left Wing of the Northwest Army moved northward through Ohio during the war. Included in this account are descriptions of General James Winchester and General William Henry Harrison.
