Biography / History
Lewis Withers resided in Garnettsville, Meade County, Kentucky, with his sons, Warder Worth, Henry Newton, John Boyd, and David B. Withers.
Scope and Content
The Withers family papers include receipts, deeds, contracts, indentures, surveys, account books, tax receipts, stock certificates, and correspondence. Most letters deal with business matters, although a few discuss family news. Several bills for such items as groceries, lumber, and lawyers' fees are also contained. Some land deeds include property surveys.
