Cori Hash (Zimbabwe, 1999-2000; Education Program) describes the frustrations of the Peace Corps application process, training in Zimbabwe, and her work as a community education resource volunteer in a new program. She gives an account of her experience in Zimbabwe during the election and being told to stay in the capital Harare until political unrest calmed. Hash discusses volunteers being sent home until after the election, and her decision to go to law school rather than return.
